    Hi,

    Has anyone here used the prepaid card such as fair fx over at WDW?

    Is it easy to use?

    Do we have to pay a fee every time we use the card?

    We are hoping to bring at least $2000 for two weeks.... Not sure if it is safer to use prepaid card....

    At the moment, I found an exchange rate of 1.56 if I exchange in cash and fair fx only does 1.51 ho hum....

    Any thoughts?

    <a href="http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p=117304&a=1693499&g=18388124" target="_blank">FairFX free card deal</a>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var uri = 'http://impgb.tradedoubler.com/imp?type(inv)g(18388124)a(1693499)' + new String (Math.random()).substring (2, 11);
    document.write('<img src="'+uri +'">');
    </script>

    if you DO use it, try and buy the card from the banner on this site above, the site gets sponsorship and you get the card for free instead of paying a fee and in THEORY a slightly better rate than they say on the website.

    Everyone who's used it says it's worked perfectly just like using any credit/debit card. Give it across, sign and done.

    The real benefit of it is safety. Given that the card is free using the above link, they recommend getting two cards. You can put half on each OR you can just put it all on one and keep the other safe. Should you lose one card, you can then just phone them up and they'll transfer the money off the one you've lost onto the one you've got safe.

    Nope, as far as I know, if you get a fairfx dollar card, top it up then you get the exchange rate quoted but then you dont pay additional commission when you make transactions :yes: that's why it works out well

    I *THINK* it costs whatever the ATM charges you as in the states if it's not your own bank they normally add $1.50 or whatever. Same as if I use my debit card over there

    cool! may well look at that. Can you get say 4 cards? thinking that the kids can put their spending money on there rather than me authorising a room key for them :thud: they're both used to using debit cards now.
