Question about V&A menu?

    We have always wanted to try it because it's considered such a special thing to do in WDW, my DF used to be a server in restaurants similar to that caliber, & we love trying expensive wine, but I am a pretty picky eater.....

    I'm not horrendous & there is alot of foods I do enjoy and if it's a meat or fish I'm familiar with, I'll typically try it, but there are alot of things that make me squeamish that I would definitely refuse to try. There are certain textures I just cannot handle. I don't want to waste our money and I definitely don't want to be a pain in the neck to the chefs or the server.

    My DW is also a picky eater. She doesn't do game, fish or shell fish of ANY sort and some vegetables. However, she has NEVER, not been able to put together a very tasty meal from the V&A menus, to include the vegetarian menu.

    I'm incredibly bad :( I Dont say that proudly, but I've never had any vegetables, dont like shell fish etc.

    V&A amazes me with their willingness to help me find something I like for ever course. They usually let me choose two meat courses instead of the fish, things like that.

    To be honest, I feel I've gotten a bit cheeky with it :/ I now go down the menu saying dont like that, dont like that, and the poor staff there have to substitute stuff but they do a GREAT job.

    It's an expensive meal, or I think so, but it's in a different league to every other restaurant onsite

    I know, I know it's bad I truly do. :( they tried a little when I was in primary school but in the end they got tired of me being sick and said just take vitamins.

    I totally agree with what Keith posted in his first reply post. :thumbsup:
    The staff at V & A`s really do make sure that your requirements are met and take account of any allergies etc.

    I'd REALLY love to try the chefs table but with just two people it seems a bit awkward plus I think they'd probably hate my picky eating :lol:

    I agree Keith.
    My DW and I dined at the Chef`s Table on our silver wedding anniversary. There were just the two of us and it did feel kinda strange. I much preferred our later visits when there were others dining with us.
    That said, remember that at the Chef`s Table you are not presented with a menu before your meal, although you are given one at the end of your visit "tailor made" just for you. Instead, the head chef comes to your table and discusses your likes, hates and allergies etc. etc. and then you just leave it up to him/her to prepare your meal.

    Keith, Donna and I have done the Chef's Table as a couple. We would love to do it again with some friends.
