Is there anyone in and around the WDW area that sells quilting fabric?
Joann....they had a quilting section Just off the 192 at marker 12.
There's also a Joann at
3562 E Colonial Dr
Orlando, Florida 32803-5147
but I've never been to that one so you could maybe ring them to find out or maybe email them.
There's also THIS place.
are you ok Dawn
Joann's will have it in any shop.
There is a nice Joann's at the Winter Garden Village.
The other two shops will be nice, but pretty expensive compared to Joann's.
*sigh* I love Joann Fabrics...so very much. Grab a local newspaper on Sunday. Oftentimes they'll have a coupon for 40% any one item. SCORE!
OK how far from Animal Kingdom is the nearest one. AK is the nearest theme park to our villa.
And would there be anything else there that us non-quilters could look at while she browses - like other stores or a Starbucks.
The one that Diane mentioned on US192 is probably the closest to where you are staying.
I find there is loads to browse around at Joann`s whenever my DW drags me there in search of card making items.
They are quite big stores and stock loads of items.
If you go to the one at Fowler's Grove in Winter Garden Village there is LOADS to browse from a bookstore with Starbuck's, to Starbuck's alone, to Ross, to Best Buy, to Sports Authority, to Kirklands, to Target, to ooooooh LOADS of other places and then some wicked good places for lunch.
It's right up (north) on 429 to the 535/Winter Garden Road exit. Couldn't be an easier dirve (easiest from passing in front of Coronado Springs and then take a right on Western Way to 429). Or simply pick up the 429 from the 192.
We went to that one on our last trip Tink.
I was amazed how quiet it was, we almost had the whole place to ourselves.
It's a peaceful place! Unfortunately, it's picking up now that it's not so very new. Loads of folks have discovered it. No problem though. Plenty enough to go around. They've added some very nice restaurants.
Isn`t this where the Bonefish restaurant is located Tink?
Yes, there is a Bonefish, an Uno, a new Japanese place (with fabulous sushi and sashimi) then the regular Mimi's, Longhorn, some fast food places, ect.
Sold to the lady going at the thought of some fabric browsing while the rest of the family leave her alone.
Thank you everyone - awesome as ever.
