Hubby is looking at going fishing for a full day while we are in Florida...meaning he will be leaving the villa very early in the morning.....with the car

Any ideas of how expensive it would be to get a taxi from Davenport to DHS?
    Any particular taxi company?

About $25-$30 - you may as well book a town car if you can stand the higher gratuity expectation. You'll find them more reliable on pickup/drop off than a taxi coming to davenport.

never had any problem with http://www.tiffanytowncar.com/

Mears has a virtual monopoly in Florida. They own a lot of the taxi companies that operate in the area.

I've heard great things about Tiffany Town Cars, and if I ever needed an extra vehicle to do the airport run, they're who I'd be calling.

They'll do whatever you ask of them but it would make more sense to just explain the day to them and see what they say.

personally in that circumstance I would book a town car for say 9am/10am to take you to whichever mall you start at. Grab a taxi outside the mall to go to the other (its close) and then arrange for the towncar to pick up at 5? whenever :) to take you home

Well, I'll let you know if I get a response but seeing as I need a car/cab this Monday then I may not get the quote from Tiffany.

so inc's grat probably at about 20%... so that's about $68ish each way with 20% extra for tip.

Well :/ even for a towncar it's more than I expected but I guess it's gone up. Still can't help feeling it sounds expensive for that trip though
