Maybe I am one of the very few who preferred Jaws to the new Harry Potter area
I do remember it, Robert. I thought it was the silliest thing!
I really didn't like it at all. I was very glad to see it go.
I loved Jaws, and am so pleased I had the chance to take the boys on it when they were younger as they loved it too!
I liked Jaws, too but I hear Diagon Alley is more than a worth replacement.
The thing I never forgave Universal for was changing Earthquake to that silly farce of an attraction called Disaster. It just needlessly elongated the ride by diluting it - I think it was a ploy to reduce the crowd levels in the parks by swallowing up hoards of people... Instead, it reduced crowds by repelling people from the park!
IVe just never got into universal :/ I dont do thrill rides so it's always been a hard sell for me
Back to the future was my favourite
BTTF was the first ride I ever did in Florida and it put me off so many other rides
I was so ill when I came off it
Oh yes, BTTF and Earthquake....loved them too!
I know, I know! Who remembers good the 'ole banana breath ride, King Kong...and Ghostbusters and Slimer, oh and Beetlejuice?
Back to the Future is one of my all time favourite theme park rides. As much as I love Simpsons (and I really do) I was heartbroken that BttF was being taken away.
Universal has one thing over Disney and that's the entrance music. As you enter, movie themes are played in the area and I can't help being swept up by them - especially when you get a doozy like BttF, Apollo 13, E.T. and the suchlike. Very little makes me smile as much as hearing that.
