Full story here. This could save us a bob or two!
My only concern would be any 'hidden' charges.
OMG, how can they possibly fly a plane to the US that cheaply, even if it were full?
You will have to pay extra for everything I should think, like you do with their European flights.
I would. Hey i bet they would be cheaper than Virgin.
i reckon it will probably end up being around the same in real terms.
Could be but certainly worth a look.
Whoa, that sounds like an offer to good to be true .
They won't usc they're masters of the con. Basically the first very few tickets booked a year in advance may be £8 then the next 100 will be £200 and so on ;-)
They've said they'll offset by charging a fortune for business class, but that's always the airline model.
Then EVERYTHING will be extra from the air you breathe to £5 cans of coke and so on
Ok *slight* exaggeration there but I'm not pinning my hopes on £8 flights to orlando any time soon
i'm not sure i'd want to pay thousands of pounds for Ryan air business class either
I can imagine they will be that much cheaper than other airlines. Let's see what happens.. I'd certainly fly with them. Some of my best flights have been with Ryanair.
I read somewhere (some time ago) that Ryanair flights from Ireland to the UK did not allow luggage. Is that the case? I can't imagine not allowing luggage from the UK to the US, but I would think that would be an area where high prices were charged?
wotshisname was on the news this morning and said that yes they did have plans for the future but not remotely near at the moment. I remember there were rumours a year or so again.
Like everyone else has said, I guess if you are lucky you may get your seat for £8, but by the time you get off the plane in Orlando, you will be a few quid short!
If you own your own place and visit you may not have to take much out with you luggage wise, but you'll have to pay big to bring back your goodies!
Good luck if it comes off!
Having flown with low cost Globespanners.... sorry FlyGlobespan, to Sanford.... ermmmm I shall pass. The overall experience was just not worth the money we paid, and by the time they add on all their extras the overall cost was not that much less than VS.
Had I experienced the level of delays and inadequacies with VS as I had with GSP I would have had compensation and/or a shedload of airmiles...... GSP offered a shrug of the shoulders and a "nothing we can do".
I would hazard a guess it will be the same with Ryanair
