Hi first question sorry if its in the wrong place

How do you all save up for your trips? Are there any hints or tips like using tesco vouchers or petrol points ?

we already have a large change jar but we keep dipping into it for petrol money so its going nowhere fast

    HELP!

We saving our tesco vouchers but it is not a good deal at the moment.

We used to have internet saving account without any bank cards so we wont be able to take out any money. If we wanted to take out any money, we have to put in a request which takes couple of days.

Well, we started out with the "change jar" idea. However, Herself never wants to use it! We try to put some aside each month, but yep it gets used on necessary things all too often.

We don't have a real system, I guess. I think we may have to look into a dedicated account. That way it's "over there" and not as easily accessible for those "needed" things.

We just usually (well, I do it) just book our trips 12 or 18 months in advance. Then we (I) just pay for it little by little over that time period. By the time we're actually ready to go, the trip's been paid for!

Tom :)macwave:... financially not the most advantageous but it works!)

Lots of people save their £2 coins ( what you need is a container that you can't open and just keep it out of sight and try your hardest not to touch.

We book in advance and there's no easy way to save but maybe just pay it off bit by bit

I usually book the holiday far in advance anyway so its easy to pay it off and save bit by bit. I have a pound piggy too, any pound coins of £2 coins i have spare go in there - so far i have resisited taking the stopper out and dipping in - but thats because ive not been car booting much!
