Been looking for one of these for you guys for a while now - most missions do something like this to boost public awareness and I think its just great

We have our names on the Moon and speeding towards Pluto at the moment :D

After you fill out your name you get to print out a certificate - your kids will love you for it trust me.

Sign up ends on the 1st November

This is the Kepler Mission which is looking for extra solar planets

Our name is on Mars now...they did a similar thing for the rovers...nice touch really. You can fit alot of names on a cd or dvd. Prints a nice certificate too.

Our "Solar System/Space" thematic begins next month...I've decided to incorporate this project into our lesson plans...each student will submit a paragraph on why they think it's important and the one judged best will be put in the "message" body of the certificate...then we'll send our school's name into space...

I would have liked to do each student separately, but the logistics just didn't work out...so instead, we'll do one for the school and then I'll send the information home to our parents so they can allow their child to do a personal one from home.

    Thanks Skywatcher...what a brilliant idea!
