I've got some parcels to send for Christmas to to the USA. Should I post them from home before we leave on holiday or would it be better to take them with me in the case and post them when we get to Orlando

Chris says just post them from here, but I'm confuddled about what to do now :rolleyes008::rolleyes008:

If you have enough room to take them with you, I'd post them when you get to the US. It will be loads cheaper to do it that way.

Well that's what I thought and had planned to do, but Chris put the doubt in my mind when he said I might get stopped at customs :shocked025: not that I would be bringing in anything that I shouldn't of course :D

Waaaaaay cheaper, if you have the room (and if they won't put you over the weight limit and cause you to pay a fee).

I'm always so astonished at the cost of postage between the UK and the US. :( I'm sure it's high for other countries too, but sheesh. Someone could think that the powers that be don't want us to communicate!

Oh geez, customs. Didn't think about that. But, as you say you aren't bringing in anything that isn't allowed, eh? (There goes my black pudding).

Ya' think that means I like it?

Well yes. BUT!!! It's an old, old recipe and very tasty. There is a white pudding too. Not nearly as nice as the black.

I can't have either though. :sigh; Not on the "diet." :sigh; No matter. We bought some here once from an import store. Icky, yuckkko! NOTHING like the kind I had in Ireland.

Like a true Guinness, it's something that waits for me there. :D

    Wendy,

It will indeed be FAR cheaper to ship here than to ship to here from there. If you have room in your luggage I would bring it with. I honestly don't believe customs will bother you.

Awwwwww Siobhan. :( Ya don't mean that, dooya'? :hug1: :D

To be certain, I'm sure it sounds horrid to many. I'm not even sure why I tried it the first time. I'm a pushover for sausages of any sort though, and it's rather like that. At least in shape anyway. It's mostly grain.

"Stuff himself stupid!" I LOVE IT!!! I'm going to be remembering that one! :D :D

    "I shall stuff myself stupid with __________________!" :D :D

    Ah Siobhan! You're the best! :D :D

It would probably be best to leave the gifts unwrapped until you get there, just in case customs want to look. :)
