Busch Gardens Tampa is now offering guests the chance to see the parks’ Serengeti Plain in a whole new way. Starting on December 10th (reservations can be made now) Busch Gardens will again be offering guests the chance to take part in their Serengeti Night Safari.

The two and a half hour safari is designed especially for adults 21 and up. The adventure begins after Busch Gardens closes when guests are greeted by two cheeky explorers of the African savannah, Charles and Emily. They escort their guests to a private venue where delicious hors d'oeuvres, pinwheel sandwiches, assorted cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables and refreshing drinks - including ice cold beer await.

On the safari guests will be given spotlights with special red-filters and safari lanterns which will allow them to search for wild beasts such hippos, crocodiles and lions. From the back of an open truck guests will be able to see more wildlife on the Serengeti Plain by using special night vision monoculars.

After all this excitement guests will then be able to sit back, relax and enjoy drinks fireside while the hosts share colourful tales, their love of the spoken word, and the role it plays in African heritage.

Finally after returning back to base guests will be able to enjoy a nightcap along with a choice of desserts, freshly baked by the Busch Gardens Bakery.

    • Tour is offered on select nights (Saturday nights until the end of April but no tours will be running on Dec 24th and Dec 31st)
