    Anybody going?

On twitter it said they were turning people away at midnight to stop the queing however there appears to be more than a few people there now.

Here is a picture I have gotten from another forum (which is a picutre from twitter and I think from touringplans).

    Zoiks! :bugeye:

I'm definitely waiting for the crowds to ease before visiting! I'm not too good around... humans.

    How could you resist it?

I hate crowds, but I couldn't be there and not go!

We'll see......do I dare say I'm not a Harry Potter fan! We've not read the books/seen the movies. However, that wouldn't totally stop me from going BUT I'm not facing the masses for it.....it can wait for another visit.
I love Universal Studios and there is plenty there for me. Love the shows and parade.

Yup, there's still Poseidon's Fury to meet with the wrecking ball.

Yes! I was listening to Jim Hill on a podcast recently and he was saying they have massive plans for Islands of Adventure.

He was saying the third part of Harry Potter will go in what's left of the lost continent. Most likely to be Ministry of Magic

He also said that before that though there is a planned King Kong ride in the old space next to Jurrasic Park (where the old Triceratops animotronic was).

He did say that eventually Disney will get their hands on the theme park rights for Marvel and their contingency plan for that is a re-theme to wizard of oz.

Lastly he said they were very close to striking a deal for Lord of the rings and this will be an area like Harry Potter and will replace toon lagoon.

He on the whole is usually quite good with news but it's all rumours for now.

I've heard the Ministry of Magic rumour a few times before and would LOVE to see it! Can you imagine all that cool, green tile in Florida? Sounds wonderfully creepy to me.

I heard the King Kong thing a little while ago and I'm intrigued, although I wonder if it's just too late? The movie was released ages ago. I think it may just be a nostalgic nod to the old Universal King Kong attraction, or the tram ride excursion at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Wizard of Oz is a new one on me!

Yeah the Wizard of Oz does sound strange, but they're planning a Wiked (sp) movie apartently, so that'll probably decide if its likely or not.
