Has anyone else heard the rumor that World Showcase Players, Off-Kilter, Mo'Rockin, Spirit Of America and British Revolution will no longer be performing at Epcot (or anywhere else at WDW) after September 27, 2014?

I have :( I can't believe Disney are even considering this. Supposedly they will be replaced by other acts. Why change things when they are working perfectly well

Apparently not a rumour. I have have it from a VERY RELIABLE source that this is indeed true. Apparently they are considering putting some sort of lumberjack show in Canada which has more than a few Canadians upset.

Supposedly because of entertainment budget cuts. The newer acts are most likely cheaper.

I'm surprised Disney just didn't bump up ticket prices instead. :exit:

I'll plan accordingly when we're there beginning the 24th - I'd love to see Off Kilter one more time...

Yep. Lumberjacks for Canada. Flag waving something or other for Italy. Berber music for Morocco. Celtic music (folk) for the UK. Oh, and the World Showcase Players are going, too. Fife and Drum for the US.

I like change, sometimes. We'll have to see. Jamie's been playing pipes in Canada long before Off Kilter. At least they are replacing the acts, this time. I remember when they took out a whole bunch of acts in the WS and didn't replace them right away. That was not a great idea.

    Anyway, time will tell...

Epcot is closing/stopping a lot end of September.

There is also the rumoured closure of Malstrom too.

Maybe they have some big things planned for Epcot?

From what I have heard/read, most of the big changes coming up are for The Studios and Animal Kingdom. With the 50th Anniversary coming up in 7 years though, who knows. They do/did have room originally for 19 countries. I know one change that may be coming is a third screen for Soarin'.
