Uhhhhh...nope! :lipwobble: That wasn't part of the plan, Sister Tinker! Posting photos of the weekend, yep. Us? NOPENOPENOPE!!!

I had a call from Herself last evening. She was out shopping (this woman LOATHES shopping) for a red shirt for me. How nice is that! She found one too! So now I'll be in red like the "rest of 'em." I'll be the one with the HRC sticker on my red shirt! :D

Hope I don't melt in the sun...

I'd go with you in a heartbeat. And I'd happily wear whatever color you wanted me to wear. And if you found yourself alone it would be a pleasure to casually just take hold of your hand or drape an arm across your shoulder in a show of support. :hug2:

But hey, photies will do. :D

Well Dawn you just come along then and drape over two shoulders! :D :D

Sister Tinker I have a heavy schedule in June. I'll be in SC, NC and Dallas for most of it! :sigh:

This weekend for Gay Days and the weekend of the 12th for SWW with Seth and his Da are about the only times I'll be around. :(

June is the month when many places have their Pride celebrations. Other areas have them in October, some in December.

Just a little reminder (from ever so stuffy and old fashioned Tink)? Remember that all the unique sorts of representations you see at the Pride celebrations are not the sum total of the mainstream gay community. :) For the majority of gay folk, you'd not be able to pick us out of a crowd. :) :wiggle:

Then there are some of us... You understand what I mean, eh? Pride tends to focus on the extremes in our community (and that seems to be ALL you see in any newscast) and that is fine. Just wanted to do a little reminder that the majority of gay folk are boring as hell.

I think we are all mostly boring unless you are filming a reality tv show, then you are getting paid to be extreme!! :)

Tink, have I ever mentioned my DH is in a local band so we are always out in the local music scene in my area. We are quite used to being in the gay community around here but I have never seen the extremes that I saw while at US and WDW during Gay Days. Totally all-out exteme in some cases!

:) Jon and I will be wearing our white ribbons into the city tomorrow. We took the day off ages ago to meet some family who are flying in for the week (remember my new cousin who was born on New Year's? Yep! That's whose coming!)

My cousin is flying in for a visit at the end of the month during NYC Pride. We'll be going into the city for the parade and to meet of few of her friends :) That should be a fun evening (Tink, I'll be wearing my boa  )

It's gonna be a fun month!

    I'm here.

You can make them from any width ribbon you choose, but a bit wider ribbon is best as it allows the knot to show. I've cut short bits, "v'd" the ends (mine is about a 1/2 inch wide grosgrain ribbon) and tied a knot in the center. I'll use a tiny safety pin to attach it to my shirt. You can put them anywhere you please, really. Some wear them on the pockets of their Levis, some on their collars, sleeves, wherever you like.

Some fray the ends of their ribbons, but that's too messy for me. :spring: :D

Yes, Rosie. You'll see extremes when large groups get together. As you say, much the same with anyone eh? Ever see those Red Hat ladies when they all get together for a parade?

Becca. I want photos!!!! (We do love our boas, don't we)? :D :D
