Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast!

    In addition to the Jedi Mickey Star Wars Dine at Hollywood & Vine, guests are also invited to blast off with an interstellar breakfast featuring some of your favorite characters from a galaxy far, far away.

    From May 4 through June 15, Star Wars fans can enhance their Star Wars Weekends experience with a tasty breakfast at the Sci-Fi Dine-In at Disney's Hollywood Studios where they'll have the opportunity to meet several familiar faces from the greatest saga ever told, including Darth Vader, Boba Fett Greedo, Jawas and Stormtroopers. The traditional sci-fi clips will be replaced with Star Wars clips, trailers and music.

    This experience is available from 8:00am to noon and costs $47.99 for adults and $29.99 for children. Price includes a digital commemorative photo on a commemorative photo pass. (For guests using the Disney Dining Plan, each Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast requires 2 table-service meal entitlements).

    It is pricey but I imagine it is going to be a BIG HIT. I wonder if they will think about having it full time

    It's interesting that it's (I think?) $10 less than the H&V experience. But yes, I'm guessing it will sell out for every seating. I think it would be cool to have something like this permanently.

    I like this experience better than the one at H&V but I think Disney is doing a little price gouging even more than usually it seems with this. We're talking $200 (including tax & tip) for a family of four (two adult/two children) for breakfast. Really?

    I'm of two minds about this. Yes, it's expensive...really pricey. But the way I look at it, you're paying for the experience - not the bacon and eggs. You're not paying $50 to have pancakes, you're paying $50 to have Darth Vader come and breathe heavily in your ear. You're paying $50 to point at your kids when the Stormtrooper appears at your table and say, "These aren't the droids you're looking for." :) If I was a fan, I'd pay it in a heartbeat. And let's face it, it's not really out of line (costwise) for other experiences even off property, like Dinner Theaters and such...at least not in my dining experience.

    That is a way to look at it, Becca. More as a show with refreshments included, instead of a very pricey breakfast. I still think the cost is far too high for many families (mine included) but those who can manage it should really enjoy it. :yes:

    No, you're absolutely correct. It would be a HUGE splurge for us - and we'd probably forgo some other dining experiences to "justify" spending the money (perhaps on the dining plan? when it's "free"?). Heck, I paid for the Princess Breakfast at Akershus last August "out of pocket" and nearly choked doing it! But the experience, the joy, of watching my two teenage girls asking for "relationship" advice from Ariel? I'd probably have paid double.

    I'll say it again, I do believe Disney has driven up the costs of food in order for people on the DDP to think they are getting a great value.
