Does anyone know if there's an age restriction for the Star Wars Jedi Training? I know, I know...he's going to be 21...but they didn't have this when Andrew was little, and he ADORES Star Wars so very much...

    Pah! :)

Ah well, guess I'll have to wait for (gasp) grandchildren. (You know, in about 15 years or so...)

    Thanks!

Ok I am going to hijack here for a second. I must admit that I know Nothing about this! We are not huge SW people, but I'm starting to think that Marc would really think this was cool.

So I know that this is going to involve a mad dash and a few bloody lips, so what do I need to know if we were going to try to get this? Is it worth it?

You need to be there at rope drop during peak times. It wasn't too bad the other day for us and as long as you didn't mind doing it at about 7 in the evening you could book in at around 12.
We got there about 9:20 and had a 12:40 slot. You go to the left of the sorcerers hat near the American idol building and you will see a sign and also a cast member will be outside. The kids have to tell them their name and age and if they can follow instruction and be ok on stage with people watching. They give you a time slot to come backfiring the day. If we were to do it again I would opt for evening because it was very very very hot in that stage area at mid day

We got there at rope drop and power walked round and got a 1.50pm slot.

There is no shade in the show area so bear that in mind when they tell you what time slots are available.

Thanks guys! Not you Johnie :p

I will have to chat with Marc and see what he thinks about all this. We are going in November, so I don't think the heat would be a really big issue. Time to look into it :D

I went on YouTube and watched the video with the kids at home and talked to them about if they would want to do it

They have to meet at the sign up location where they line up and are given a jedi robe to wear. Then they march round to the stage and wait for a few minutes there. Next the jedi trainer comes out and they go up on the stage and are given a spot to stand on and a training light saber. They have to practise a few moves on their spot. Darth Vader comes out next and they each have a go at battling him. He's big. Then they had to use the Force on a couple of Storm Troopers and then they got their diplomas. Takes about 40 minutes altogether, and about half of that is on the stage.
