Cutie pie. Is he here?
Yep, it's there this time.
Oh good! Is the pic right side up?
Nope, it's sideways. But that's okay.
Argh. I asked cause I'm viewing this from my iPhone so it looks right to me
I did a test this morning with my iPhone (iPhone 4 IOS vers 4.2). Anyway, the fix (if you want to call it that) is pretty simple until all this gets worked out.
Just take the picture while holding your iPhone on it's side (home button on the right). Then when you send it via email, it seems to come through correctly.
This whole thing has to do with the EXIF data your iPhone writes with your picture. Apple follows some standards for picture orientation that most everyone else ignores. Although I have heard of some issues from the MS camp also. It's a pain. Just hope everyone will get this sorted out eventually. In the meantime, holding the iPhone on it's side to take the picture should work.
Tom macwave:... what a PITA!)
Thanks Tom. I will give that a try.
