    Hi all,

We or perhaps I should say I am thinking of changing my television....

At the moment we got LG47LM620 and I want something that have 'wow' factor. I have been eyeing the Panasonic range especially with the txl47wt65b (not sure if it is significant advanced compared to what we got ) however, I am not familiar with Panasonic. Does anyone here have Panasonic television and what is it like?

We prefer passive glasses so wont be venture into Samsung or Sony television range.

    Any advice would be welcomed!

We have a Panasonic, but not 3D and it is fantastic, the picture is pin sharp and almost looks 3D and the colours are fantastic.

I can't remember the model and we are in London at the moment :sorry:

wow I thought I was into my gadgets and tvs but you're way past anything I have

I really like the latest Samsung screens both for looks as well as performance of the screen but yeah the panasonics are looking nice these days too.

My current set is a panasonic plasma, I go through periods where I feel like the plasmas give a nice less "in your face" picture especially when watching movies, and it's been great really, can't fault it. One thing that's weird, you have to keep the on button pressed in for a few seconds for it to come on. It seems intentional perhaps to avoid unintentional pressing but it's weird. Love HD sources on it though, really superb. 3D is brilliant on it but 3d stuff on tvs/movies gives me a headache so not used it much.

Sony, I USED To like but the last few sonys I had werent that great.

so yeah I'm sure the panasonic will be awesome

Do you know what the primary difference between my current television and the one that I am looking for? Especially with the 400mhz and 3600mhz difference? Cant be right unless the panasonic is measuring it differently?

with that much difference I SUSPECT your old tv is talking about the actual refresh rate of the panel itself, how often it refreshes the picture versus the new one talking about a how fast it "flickers" the backlight on and off to try and make motion looks less blurry.

Ah got you! We are going to Panasonic store tomorrow. Stephen will be drooling at the Bose surround sound while I drool at the television! I simply cannot guarantee that we will not be coming home with nothing(!)

I'm hopelessly in lust with all things Bose. I know people say they're overpriced but I've never been let down by the sound of any bose product

I'm totally sold on Bose myself. We are going to look for a mini surround sound system when we get some money.

After spending almost two hours at Panasonic/Bose shop we left with Bose T10 which Stephen is fiddling with at the moment trying to get the perfect bass tone so I can feel the vibration like I do at the cinema! :wiggle:
