It's my favorite Epcot restaurant too. It's a must do for us on every trip.
For those that love Teppen Edo, what sets it apart from other Hibachi restaurants in other places?
I have only been to Tepan edo so I have nothing to compare it too
I've been to 3 other hibachi restaurants here in NY and I like them all. The chef really determines the experience. I am not sure why I like Teppen Edo better but I definitely do. The food at Teppen Edo is really good and the chef throws a few Disney jokes in there. I have to be honest I find most of the food at Disney to be a bit bland so when I eat at Tepoen Edo its such a relief to have some flavor. Same applies for Bongos.
So glad to see that people love this place. It's high on our wish list for an ADR in September. There is a place called Wasabi (maybe a chain?) about 2 hours from us and it's probably Katie's favorite place! The 2 hibachi grills in town are disappointing.
There is Benihana steakhouse at the Hilton at Downtown Disney
I enjoy Teppan Edo. It's nice and fresh.
I DO usually warn people that the meal does not come with the traditional salad and fried rice like at other Japanese steak houses. The reason for no fried rice is that it is not Japanese, that is a Chinese creation. People can get very upset about that though.
Love the way everything is cooked fresh in front of you
Is there rice at all? The picture looks like Micky's face is made of rice.
Yes they have white rice. Brown rice maybe. Just not fried rice
I really like it but if I had the choice I'd have sushi instead, I'd eat sushi every day if I could
Oh I love sushi!!!!
Not keen on sushi
I'm another Sushi lover.

Another Sushi eater here!
Does anyone else find sushi at Disney World unusually expensive, though? I mean even compared to their prices in general, I find their sushi a bit pricey...but maybe that's just me and the market here.
