Would just like to say a big thank you to all at Secrets for opening a Villa Owners Area. Hopefully all villa owners will find it a useful resource for discussing in private the joys of owning.

With such a nice membership on the general forum i am sure there will nothing bad to discuss on here but it is nice to have a hidey-hole.

Do we get to decorate our section...what to paint the walls and where to put the telly

    Hi all!

I hope you enjoy your new private area on here :)

Malcolm, I know you have your own superb villa owners forum and of course this isn't taking ANYTHING away from that, but I hope it'll be useful in its own little way

Keith ...would not consider it to be ... Its good to have an owners section as it gives owners who may not be on villaforums or other owners areas a chance to get a heads up if a member on here comes across warnings such as bogus renters.

Mick if you promise not to go round sniffing corks and :lolchair: then you can come ...

Decorate however you want as long as it's not purple.

We're going to spoilt for choice when we rent a villa aren't we

We're yet to do it, but REALLY fancy it for next year. Problem is we've never driven over there so it'll be quite a change for us

Keith, I finally took the plunge last year and drove, well only once, just to see if I could - why have a dog and bark yourself and all that - lol!! Anyway, I waited 'till Rob was "busy" with a good book and snook out - got in the car and drove off - from the villa we can just do a series of right turns and arrive at the local restaurants/shops/golf/etc - so I knew it would be easy. I was really pleased with myself - bought a couple of Subs and beers and went back only to find Rob on the doorstop shaking his head at me - he reckoned I had almost gone up a kerb and knocked over a wheelie bin (I don't think I did). The driving was easy, although I felt a bit strange being on the "wrong side" of the car  I keep threatening to go out on my own now i've attempted it once - i'm sure i'll cope

yeah I think we'd probably do a split stay, first half in the villa, next half at Disney. So I think we'd probably consider the first half a lazy week or two anyway.

I think Helen would LOVE having the pool and a chance to chill out. We're always so on the go at Disney when we stay onsite, we need another holiday to get over the first one!

Yes Keith, that's a common compaint - you do so much you're shattered after your holiday and need another

Be warned, once you stay in a villa you may get hooked

PS Linda? I dont know if you've spoken to Barbara but I think she may be having trouble getting her ad on and I dont think she knows this area exists yet :/ I'd hate her to feel she was on her own and not able to get her adverts done

If you speak to her could you let her know? I think between us on here we could help her get live in no time

She did phone us last night Keith and we explained how to do it - we did her siggie for her on the Dubb - she's going to phone again if she doesn't cope with our instructions - but I will make sure she knows about the owners area too.

I know what you mean about rushing around Keith, I love our chill out time by the pool - usually about 10 at night by the time we've finished - followed by a dip in the hot tub with a glass of wine..................... bliss. I'm sure you'll both be hooked once you give it a try

Keith ...First time i drove "on the wrong side" was in Florida and as the roads are so wide it does make it easier maybe if it was in a European enviroment i would be a bit cautiouse but as traffic out there is quite tame to be honest i dont think you would find it too concerning two most important things would be to stick to speed limit and stop at every junction no matter if there is traffic or not.

Try it mate and it will open up a new lease of adventure..
