That`s a disappointment!

    I`ve just had an email from the manager of the Bistro de Paris informing me that the restaurant will be closed for refurbishment on the date of our ADR [July 5th.]

    They have now switched my reservation to the Chefs de France for the same time etc.

    I`ve never eaten at the CdF, but it seems a bit more chaotic in there than the Bistro.

    Should I cancel the ADR and try for somewhere else? What do you think? Has anyone eaten there?

    Not eaten there but, like you, we thought it looked very chaotic. hmmmm

    Terry,

    Carol and I have eaten at CdF a couple of times. The food was pretty good (I even got to gross Carol out with escargot) but it was crowded and noisy. Also, the second time we were there, the service left a lot to be desired.

    I'd move on. :shrug:

    Donna and I ate there many moons ago, weren't impressed, and haven't been back. I'd try another place Terry. Since you are going to be in the EPCOT area perhaps Flying Fish or something in the Swan/Dolphin?

    Those two are already on our list of ADR`s John.....and needless to say but we are also going to the YSH on a couple of occasions.

    Ive heard the food at Chef e France is good, but it doe slook far busier and noisier than Bistro :(

    The dinner buffet at Cape May is very good, and at least when we went, it wasnt very busy

    when Teppan Edo was closed for refurbishment and we had an ADR there they gave us a code for access to preferred fireworks viewing area as consolation. Did they do that for you?

    Chefs is fine for lunch. It is noisy but it is Disney. They also bring out Remy to delight the kids. If you are looking for something quieter or more romantic then perhaps something on the Boardwalk?

    As I mentioned earlier Johnie, we have already secured an ADR for the Flying Fish, and apart from that there isn`t anywhere of a similar nature at the Boardwalk for dinner. :unsure:

    Tink, the thing is that we will be spending a few days at the GF during this trip and we tend to do the Disney restaurants while we are staying on site and have dinner offsite when we are at the villa.
    I must try Le Coq au Vin at sometime though.

    we have eaten at CdF quite a few times but the service has got worse each trip and I don't think we will bother again.
    Last time we ate there I was eating the soup, put my spoon down to break a piece of bread and the waitress, in a nanosecond had whipped my bowl away - while I was still eating!

    Thanks for that Diane.....it seems like the odds are stacked against the CdF.
    I just hate it when the servers clear ANY of the plates or cutlery away before your entire party has finished their course. :thumbsdown:

    And I would have been calling her back and telling her I hadn't finished and if she kept on walking then I would have refused to pay.
