Your kids are gorgeous . What a lovely time you are having!
Oh, I still have leaky eyes over the first day at the Day 9 Magic Kingdom video!
I am LOVING these videos!!! It looks like you are having the best time
Next part. Unfortunately the memory card broke as we went into new Fantasyland, so we lost that
Well, we've been to Sea World to day and I can't say I was massively impressed. We've not been for 10 years so thought it was about time we paid it another visit. Anthony decided to get the quick queue pass as well, so he could go on all the big rides. It really seems to have changed a lot since we last visited. It used to be all about the animals, but now there seems to be some sort of attraction associated with them all, particularly the turtles one and the penguins one.
On the turtles attraction you go and see some manatees and turtles which is lovely, but then you go into some 3D show at the end, which is a bit naff to be honest For the penguins one there's a ride before you get to the penguins. It's really contrived, and the film isn't of real penguins, it's animated, and it's not factually correct in a lot of places - which I thought was very strange. I used to like the moving walkway where you saw the penguins, but that's gone now and it's just a free for all.
The dolphin show and Pets Ahoy haven't changed since we last went, and to be hones, they were still wonderful, really enjoyed those! I also preferred the Shamu show without the trainers in the water, you got to concentrate on the animals more.
I used to enjoy the little walkways with the animals dotted around, a bit like at AK, but that's all gone now.
We scheduled our times around the shows since we were only there for a day, and we left the end of the day for Anthony to do all of the rides. Unfortunately, there was a storm passing from 2pm, so all of the rides shut down and most of the shows were cancelled, so his front of line pass was a total waste of money. There was no storm either, just a couple of light rain showers.
Overall, I did enjoy the day, but I won't be going back any time soon I don't think.
Then when we got back, I went to do some laundry. They don't have the machines where you put the quarters in any more. You have to have a credit or debit card, which is a real pain to those of us non US residents as we then have to pay a fee on our cards for using it abroad. The machines weren't working, and a lady I was chatting to in there said they've not been working properly for the 2 weeks she's been there. A CM came and told us that they were going to call someone out in the morning, but said the ones at Riverside were working fine. Can't say I want to go all the way over there just to do laundry. We then all had a whine to her about the fridges and why there weren't any notes about them in the rooms. She said most of the other resorts have had them replaced, but we seem to be at the bottom of the queue for them. Guess we'll see what happens tomorrow with the washing machines.
that's how we felt about Seaworld 2 years ago
I'm pleased we went, as I've been wanting to go back for years. But now I'll just not be so keen to go again
We feel exactly the same about SeaWorld, we won't be rushing to go back anytime soon.
Felt like we kept comparing it to Disney all day too
