I get terrible motion sickness but have actually tried each of these rides - once.

I think The Mummy is milder than Everest by far and you don't go upside down on it. It still made me ill though, hence the one time only ride!

Big Thunder I can do - just. I do feel ill afterwards but only slightly and I find if i do it in the dark, then I'm ok.

My Mum rode the Mummy and was fine  It is a bit 'whizzy' but it's not scary.

Most of the ride is in the dark and it is quite fun, few sharp drop and stopping, however, the ride itself is quite smooth.

Just to let those that havent been on it - The Mummy is all inside, there is a short backwards section to it - like on expedition everest - but in my opinion whilst that gives a novelty factor it makes the ride itself not really that bad - compared to some of the serious coasters that is

btw its dave as, in her words, Ann is a 'scaredy-cat'

my main problem is the build up and anticipation. By looking at lots of ride POV videos on youtube etc i don't like it when you've got nothing either side of you up high or going up a steep hill to a drop- petrifies me. Yet i can do space mountain. Don't like going upside down though- did that on the corkscrew at AT and it was awful!

I will try the mummy first and if i can handle that i will do EE- sound like a good plan?

Sounds like a very good plan!
The Mummy is a good ride, someone described it as whizzy and i think thats a good description! its not a fast ride, neither is it scarey, no drops (id call it a slope!). We got my mil and fil in it and they dont do rides of any kind!

    Be careful!!!
On EE you have a backwards inverted loop [ie "upside down"!]

I did the Mummy and it was fun  Everyone says if you can do the mummy you can do EE. They LIED!!! EE is way way more intense and I came off it dizzy and sick to my stomach. Stick to SM, Thunder M, and the mummy and you'll be fine.

EE does go backwards, but it doesn't invert.

Hmmm, I`ve only rode the ride once but I could have sworn that there was an inverted loop shortly after the backwards bit when you run out of track.

I don't remember an inverted loop either. :coaster:

But I've only ridden it once also. And my mind is certainly not what it used to be so I could be wrong.

Tom :)macwave:... mountain... what mountain... I don't remember any mountain!)
