.....major disruption in my home which will last for 3-4 weeks.

The reason I have posted in the celebration forum? After numerous years of living in a state weariness today is the beginning of a new and exciting life for my little home.....I've called the builders in to give it a brand spanking new kitchen and bathroom!!!!!!!

    Excited? Oh yes indeed!!

I know, I *was* hoping they could get started a little earlier but hey ho! They should be done within 3-4 weeks.....and there is most definitely no going back now, the wall is down....hurrah!

Oh, and here's the bathroom. Not much to show but you get the idea...old and tired. A bit like me! Isn't it horrendous when you see what's underneath what you strip away?

Oh I so feel your pain.... just had my kitchen ripped out. It took just over a week and they did a brilliant job, it was the whole lot, plumbing, lectrics etc etc. But oh my the dust......... I don't envy you.

Can't wait to see the finished result!
We were very lucky as my mum and dad fitted us a brand new bathroom while we were away so didn't have to have the disruption!

That sure is a major project! I'm pleased for you. The kitchen looks like it is going to at least double in size! Cannot wait to see the after photos! Do you have any of before the demolition?

Lemme have a look and see.........

Ok, so this is how it looked some years back when it was mostly a play area (that's my dolls house), we had just started to take the doors out, which I was very sad to do but they needed to go.

Then this is Dad and I working on it when I wanted to update it so it was "mine"

Very exciting. Keep the wine chilled outside. Because there isn't anything quite like black brick dust.

I don't envy you during the renovation at all. But I can't wait to see the pictures when it's done! I bet it's going to be gorgeous.
