:sigh; I've not made any ADRs. Yesterday I wasn't bothered. I am today. :sigh; Please tell me it doesn't matter.

It doesn't matter. You could try calling when you arrive and asking if anything's available. If not, they have lovely restaurants off-site.

    I'm a big eat off-site fan.

And I might move you to a dining related forum. Have we got one? I'll throw the thread in the air and see where we land. :D

    Ouch that hurt!!!!

    ADR's are not important Claire.

What is important is that you are going to WDW and spending time with your family.
Eating off site is so much cheaper and at least you won't be tied to times if the kids aren't ready to sit down.

You can ask when you get there if there are any vacancies for character meals and if there are it will be a bonus.

Don't forget they have better counter service these days. Not all burgers and fries. And Owen won't be kept waiting for his dinner. :D

Sorry about the bumpy landing, bit out of practise.

We had a lot of adrs last year for the first time, and i must say i prefer not to have them and take our chances. As said there are some good places to eat off site and a lot cheaper. Some of our best meals were off site

Besides, ADR's can kind of bog you down. This way, you're free to eat whenever you please!

Don't you worry one bit Claire! :hug2: You'll be fine. There are loads of places to eat offsite and if you are flexible a bit, you'll be able to have an ADR or ten, when you are ready for them!

(Although, I will say the character meals go quick).

Today's worry probably can't be eased! I'm thinking maybe we won't make our connecting flight. Just under 2 hrs between landing in Chicago and taking off for Orlando.

I've studied the arrival and departure times of our flight for days now but without knowing what the queues will be like at immigration, baggage claim and security I can't be definite. Cue the :sigh; smillie again!

Because we are only there for 8 days I can't bear to lose time in Orlando!

Does anyone know what happens if you don't make your connecting flight?

You get on the next one. :D

Are both flights with the same airline?

Yep. Both with American Airlines. Booked direct on their website. DH says they wouldn't offer the connection if there was no chance of making it. He did Chicago connecting to Wichita in plenty of time but he was on his own! No kids in tow.

The man is right - it wouldn't be offered if it couldn't be done. On the slightest off chance you are delayed into O Hare then AA will get you on the next connection.

Now I will be here tomorrow morning for worries but then I am off to my parents until Saturday so you all have a great trip and tell Owen I said to check out all the railings.

Thanks bud. Owen will be grading railings on a scale of one to ten! He may publish his findings in due course.
