It seems that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority or more affectionally known as the PeopleMover , will be closing for a two month refurbishment in early 2014.

The actual dates it will be closed is from the 10th February to the 27th March 2014. The ride will re-open on the 28th March 2014.

Do you think it is in need of a refurbishment and if so what would you like to see?

Yes, adding some interest to the boring bits would be great. Slowhand, you can keep your inverted whatsit to yourself! ;)

An inverted loop on a ride that moves that slowly would indeed be interesting. They would have to install safety harnesses to keep us in our seats. :p

Ah one of our favs....It would be cool to have more of the future city diorama things. The GM ride at the world's fair had a great hall of them as you rode through the ride.

Or like the last bit of the Ford Magic Skyway.

    Exactly

This has always been one of my favourite things to do at MK. It's like taking a break, catching a breath, and just having a nice ride round the park. The last update to it though was disastrous IMHO. They took away views by putting up boards, promised that it would only be temporary and yet for lots of the ride, it's still looking at blank boards! they've not even bothered to paint them with something interesting.

Honestly I don't get why they did such a horrible job. Perhaps they'll fix it this time around

I agree with Keith in that it is a great way to get out of the heat and relax for a while.
My best experience of the ride was a couple of years ago when Space Mountain was closed for refurb.
As we passed through it on the ride, it was great to see inside Space Mountain as it was lit up to allow the works to proceed and seeing it in the flesh it looked far more scary that when you actually ride it !

I love the TTA - I just don't like the People Mover name.

I might be there shortly after it reopens, but I'm (shock horror) not planning to visit Disney on that trip.

    We love it!

We love that its always empty, we get to people watch and talk and rest for a while

The girls love the moving platform, that it sometimes goes super slow and then suddenly speeds up, and the view inside the Buzz ride

    Winner for us!
