Went to the doctors today to have a 24 hour blood pressure monitor fitted
I am trying to relax and not get stressed out. I wouldn't mind but I jump outa my skin every time it tries to blow my arm up.
    Roll on 9.30 tomorrow

They're horrible aren't they? I had one on about a month ago and it left me with bruising. Hope it works out ok :)

I have heard that when you are on bp meds you have to stay on them otherwise your bp will go up again but let's hope the very strict diet I am on will help too.
I am just having my homemade fruit smoothie for breakfast

Do you take a garlic supplement?

Garlic is known to reduce blood pressure by about 10%. I know people that have taken it and been taken off their meds. I think it is quite a high dose but you can get the odour free ones.

beetroot is also supposed to help lower BP, Waitrose does a lovely beetroot juice that i enjoy. I'm guessing you're cutting down on salt? watch things like pasta sauces- they're awful. We're on a health kick here and i make my own with either fresh tomatoes or with canned chopped tomatoes just adding herbs etc. :)

You do not want to mess with your blood pressure so take your pills and do what the doctor tells you :)

I've ripped those arm cuffs off before now, if put on wrong they pinch your skin something shocking.

Wow. :( That's an indication of the thing being put on you improperly. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

If you like beef, or lamb look for grass fed. It's healthier for you. Hope you are feeling better. :hug2:
