How do I look at two screens side by side on my mac. Basically, I'm wanting to look at one Mac Word document, while I make changes to another Mac Word document.

With out manually adjusting screen size, is there a quick and easy way to do this?

if your graphics card allows you to have two screens, on a pc you need a video cable splitter like this, this is a vga type you might need the digital connector. either way its like this :). then you just get your screens with vga cables from each screen to the splitter

on a mac it might be different

Can't you just resize each window to the size you want and position them next to each other or am I missing something obvious

I can, I was just wondering if there was some sort of short cut so that they automatically resize.

    Yes, it's a simple question.

    oh ok!

Well I dont think there's anything like the windows 7 thing where you move two windows to each side and they autofill the screen side by side if that's kinda what you mean.

I'd just resize them and plop them where you want

There's a couple of tiling window managers in the Mac App store. Just search for "Window Managers" and several will come up. This one called "Optimal Layout" seems to have pretty good reviews. Your mileage may vary.

Oh... just noticed. They have free trial from their website.

Tom :)macwave:... they should include this in the OS I think!)
