Venus and Mercury tonight

    Over the next few days they will be getting closer but tonight the family got to see this very elusive world for the first time - try and grab it if you can - look west about 1.2 an hour after sunset

    Mercury is so hard to see it is hardly ever this high up in the sky

    Colin has just called me into the garden to look at the 'spaceships' he thinks he has seen :rolleyes: I told him I think it could be Venus and Mercury :lol:

    There looks to be three though - low in the sky and to the west, each an equal distance apart and look like they are flashing :unsure: Is this Venus and Mercury or are like Colin thinks we are being invaded? :lol:
