Yes me too. I've only been once and that was over 20 years ago.
I think the question is going to be how to choose what thickness of steak and what steak type to go for! There are rather a lot of options!
Rib eye is my fave cut of meat
I would just choose the cut you normally have and then you have got something to compare the steak at Berns with I always go for filet
I'm sure your server will be able to provide some guidance.
Perhaps sometime during the tour of the wine cellar and kitchen.
Tom macwave:... can I come too!)
Ahh... but you see Wendy, at this place, it's not just the cut of meat. You also have to choose the thickness. Filet's come in thicknesses between 1 and 2 inches in 1/8 to 1/4 inch increments!
Tom macwave:... so many choices!)
Too much choice for me then I don't think I would be bothered with it
Yep, make sure that you do the tour Keith. The wine celler is amazing.
I don't even remember the tour being an option when I was last there. Either that or my cousin, who took me didn't tell me.
Keith, cows across this land quake and tremble at the mention of your name!!!
I'm starving after having read that Seriously. Starving.
Well we re currently sitting in our very own dessert room upstairs at berns. It's made from old wine casks and is very private. There's a selector for music for our room and a button and phone to call the server
It's beyond amazing as the whole evening has been
Strangely the price is no more than Ruth's Chris perhaps a little less but the service is V&a level
I rest my case!
Tom macwave:... my work here is done!)
Those booths where you have desert remind me of certain railway carriages with corridors and compartments, very intimate though eh?
Glad that you enjoyed it Keith.
One more thing I didn't even know about. Did you have to request the dessert room?
Yeah They seem to suggest you do so when you first sit down so they can reserve you your very own "room"
In our case they asked us early on and they said they would reserve us a room for after we did the kitchen and wine cellar tour. The tour was worth going for by itself!
Sooooooooo putting this on my list for next trip.....
Definitely sounds like another trip to Tampa should be on my agenda.
Are we going to get a complete review? Or just tantalizing bits?
Tom macwave:... salivating...)
