Anaheim:----- Disneyland received sad news that American performer Wally Boag died at the age of 90. Mr. Boag had a long career in entertainment and was chosen by Walt Disney to star as Pecos Bill in the Golden Horseshow Revue.

According to the Disney legends website “By the time he retired, in 1982 from his role as the outrageous Pecos Bill, Wally had performed in nearly 40,000 productions of the popular Revue!” With great enthusiasm and a talent for comedy and charm Wally not only entertained many fans but created memories of guests who relaxed and had a good time seeing the “Clown Prince” perform.

Wally Boag had a large part in Disney entertainment for not only did he play Pecos Bill in Frontierland but he also was the voice of the bird Jose in the Enchanted Tiki Tiki Room show. He also appeared in television shows such as the “Mickey Mouse Club” and “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color” and movies including “Son of Flubber” and “The Love Bug”. The recent film Gnomeo and Juliet uses the archival sound of Wally Boag’s Jose.
