If it weren't for the fact that we still owe one set of grandchildren a trip (which will be next summer) I think I would strongly consider vacations elsewhere. I still love Disney but this is just STUPID.

    Totally agree. :salute:
We had to pay for parking when we stayed at the Swan, but I never thought that Disney would be crazy enough to add this extra cost onto their resorts.
It really affects us Brits badly seeing as most of us stay for 2-3 weeks every time we visit.
It looks like LA could be beckoning for our next trip over the pond!

Making it over $500 for a deluxe resort! To park your car!

I haven't had a car on property in years...always use Magic Express and fly in but if I were driving I would defintly want to know that figure was included in my resort reservation cost and not be an extra charge on top of what I already paid and budgeted. I do agree that it seems petty to charge a paying guest to park their vehicle-but many NYC hotels charge for parking as do airports and train stations...its just another place that can be tapped for $$$

I can fully understand having to pay for parking at locations where space is at a premium, however this does not apply to WDW where there`s loads of room in the parking lots at the resorts, especially now that they have clamped down on non-resident parking there.

I never said I agreed with the action, but I can see the thought process as to why and how-and it's a no cost way to add to the bottom line. I do think that they will start offering "free" parking as a perk to Annual Pass Holders; DVC Members and local residents with memberships...again now that it is a cost it will be seen as a savings to be added and have it included in the yearly fee for the Membership-the goal to get more people to become Members and make some $$$ on those who choose not to.
