So, finally it's nearly time to book my anniversary trip for next year !
Our anniversary is on February 18th. Does anyone have any advice on whether to go before, on or after that date?
I'm wondering if the crowd level varies then. Also, if there's a cheaper time at any point then.
    Thank you. :)

I'm a member of touringplans.com and it seems the 18th Feb and immediately after would be a good time to go.

Up to the 17th Feb, the crowd level is scored 8 (out of 10, with 10 being the busiest). On the 18th, it drops to a 6 then drops even lower into the below 5s until March 2nd, where it goes back to 8 for a couple of days, then it's back to 6 and below.

Actually, the beginning of Feb is also 1s and 2s on the crowd calendar.

End of Jan/beginning of Feb is my usual slot - I love the quiet parks and the breathing space.

Anytime, let me know if you'd like me to check alternative dates for you. It's a great resource and I love shouting about it!

Presidents' Day is usually around that time. Many schools in the northeast have a week off and many go to Florida

Apologies, I misread the original mail - I checked the crowd calendar for 2014!

2015 info isn't on the site yet. :(

it's the 16th Feb in 2015, crowds should go down just after that so if it were me i'd fly in on the 16th or 17th then you could spend your anniversary there. How exciting!!

Even with President's day the attendance isn't so much that you'd be put off. It's certainly not like Christmas, or Fourth of July. The only other factor to consider would be spring break. That can really increase attendance. It centers around Easter, so if you know the date for that holiday in 2015, you can kind of figure out when the attendance will build.

Weather is very iffy in February, though. It can be quite cold and or rainy, or gorgeous. Like any other time of the year, you take your chances. February (January through most of March) is just a little more known for not having the greatest weather.

No problem. The crowd calendar shows a year in advance, so if I forget, give me a poke and I'll post the results.

Thanks for that info, Tink. The weather doesn 't matter. It was snowy on our wedding day so we 're used to variable anniversaries. :)
