I've been a few times in September and I really enjoyed it, but DH is rather put off by the possibility of too much rain.
Does anyone here visit regularly in September? What are your thoughts?
    Thanks. :)

Main advantage - its much closer than the other time you are planning :D

That alone would be enough for me :D

But it's DH's cash I need so I am tempting him with talk of bargains. ;)

Thanks. :D Ooh, I hadn't thought about MNSSHP. Are they roughly the same dates each year?
Runs off to look as that would seal the deal....:smiley4:

This year [like many others] we are going in September.
I can`t honestly recall experiencing too much in the way of rain in all the times we`ve been and it certainly wouldn`t put me off going at this time of the year.

We've been twice in September and never seen a single drop of rain. The love bugs can be pretty bad though. ;)

The words 'love' and 'bug' should never be together as far as I'm concerned.

I've been a few times in September. It can rain yes. It can rain lots. But sometimes it doesn't rain. I think my average September day was hot and humid in the morning. About 2pm a storm broke overhead and dumped collosal amounts of water. By 3pm it had stopped and half the crowds had gone home leaving the parks almost empty.

Crowds are lower because the kids are all in theory back at school. It is hurricane season still though.

If it wasn't for the school term thing I would go in September. And bring a poncho. :D

I love September, the last couple of weeks are great. By then there's not quite so much humidity, hardly any rain, MNSSHP, fewer crowds as schools here have gone back.

First Monday in Sept is Labor Day so avoid that weekend.

We go frequently in Aug and Sept. Crowds are light. Free dining has been offered the last several years. It IS hot and humid. It frequently rains in the late afternoon. We usually book a late lunch/early dinner and manage to miss it. MNSSHP is on in Sept. We LOVE that one. It is so much fun. The love bugs can be annoying but they don't bite or anything.

You are a very strange man...... :rolleyes008:

I need to wait for the VA flights to come out for next September. Is there an easy way to work out 336 days?
