The parks often close *quite* early, or it's early for me ;-) animal kingdom is closed about dinner time. Studios has fantasmic and then closed.

MK sometimes 7pm if there's an event on.

So what do you do? Are you ready for bed after a long day at the parks, do you go off site? Downtown disney?

I like evenings relaxing at the villa, it helps us recharge for the next day. We usually grab a bite and all chill out a little.

If I have the 'itch' to go somewhere, I'll usually catch a movie at the Downtown Disney AMC.

We almost never leave the property unless its to run to the store. We like DTD so we usually spend 1 or 2 nights there. We go in August so pool time is a must for us.

We either chill at the villa or go to downtown disney for a stroll. We only really get dressed up for a restuarant if we've been to a swim park or shopping.

We are usually in a park. Epcot is always open till 9 (9:30 at Christmas time). I swear we never seem to be in our room (on or off site) until 11

By the time we get back to our villa, we may roam around the property a bit (depending upon where we are staying) or stop in the bar for a nightcap. We tend to spend a lot of time in the parks when we stay on property. That's our purpose for staying, you know? :D

I don't like to be rushed in the morning, especially when on vacation, so we tend to keep a bit later hours. No where near as late as you though, Keith! :D

Back in the day when PI was up and running we often went there of an evening to listen to the West End band, roam around, have a drink or two...

Sometimes we'll do that with Raglan Road now, but not as a general rule.

We rarely are in the parks till closing time. We normally book dinner between 6 and 7 and linger over it. Then we head back to our room.

We don't stay late in the evening, when we leave the park we go back to the villa, get showered and changed and then head out for dinner. If it's early we go to DTD for a wander and listen to the show on the stage or one of the malls or outlets.

As Johnie said, Epcot is always open until 9pm

Most of the times when we go to DTD it is to go shopping. Every trip we pick up an ornament or two from the Christmas store. I like the store that sells kitchen items . My wife is a school teacher and like I said we go in August so she buys a bunch of crap : ) for her class such as pencils and stickers and things of the sort. Of course we will have a mojito in Bongos or a margarita at the Margarita and possibly a pint at Raglan Road. We drive to Disney do it allows the wife to shop until the van is full.

We usually do a bit later dinners (<7pm) and we tend to linger longer. If we don't have a dinner planned, we'll hit the Boardwalk, or seek out an undiscovered lounge for a nightcap. We've also been known to take part in one of the resort activities (movies on the beach, campfire sing-a-long, etc) or even play in the arcade for a bit! We occasionally visit DTD, but not terribly often. We do enjoy a drink by the pool...

We never stopped on site, we were out in Haines City so we either ate out, went to watch fireworks or very rarely......chilled out at the villa!

We usually have dinner around 6:30 or 7:00.
Then, since we always stay at POR, we toddle down to the bar around 8:00 or so to catch Yeeha Bob's show. :piano2:

Right on! Same with us. We close the parks everyday. Then we usually head off to our resort bar, pick up a glass of wine or a beer and head to a cozy spot in the lobby. We loved staying at Poly, BW, and AKL for the atmosphere around the lobby area.

Guess we have to really cram as much into our visits as we usually get 3 - 5 day visits. Our UK friends find the totally unenviable postition of being forced into extended weeks long visits to the world. Oh the total misfortune!

I REALLY need someone to just hit me over the head with a bat or else slip some "CALM THE HECK DOWN" medication into my drinks, because the idea of sipping wine whilst enjoying the lobby sounds brilliant but I've never managed to do it ;/

I heard they were getting rid of the fountain in the poly... wonder if its true

Well Keith, If we are ever there at the same time, I will bring my Louisville Slugger with me and give you the option of either. Seriously, it is one our favorite things to do there. You really must try it mate. Heck if we are ever there at the same time DW and I will treat you to one.
