I use the front pieces and make gift tags for the next year  I just find a bit I like on the card and make a fancy edge and taa-daa -gift tags.

I just might try those boxes though

i usually make them into gift tags or use bits of them to make new cards, and any i don't use go for recycling.

these boxes look like a great idea - i shall give them a try if i can figure out the instructions!

I use mine as christmas ornaments on my tree. There's something about seeing those that just give me the warm fuzzies.

LOL! Helly! That reminds me of a "household tip" I read in one of those old, old books...use bleach to remove the signature on cards so you can reuse them!  Can you imagine? LOL.

I think I'm going to reuse parts of the cards for tags...last year I cut out the pretty parts and kept them. Herself found them in the decoration box this year and said, "What on earth is this scrap?" LOL! Took care of my lofty ideas!!! But then, I'm so not crafty, she clearly knew better.

PA I just book marked the page for the boxes, I've gotten some really pretty cards and a LOT of Disney ones that would make boxes.

I usually end up just, well.... throwing the cards in the recycle bin since I never knew what to do with them :sorry:

We used to ship about 70% of our gifts, so I would cut out images and glue them onto the packages in lieu of bows. Didn't have to worry about bows being squashed! Used others as tags.

Wasn't it your idea to frame them in poster frames? Or was that postcards? I'm watching for a poster frame I like so I can frame the cards this year and have holiday artwork! I still have cards from the last few years, so I'm thinking I'll make rotating displays. :)

For years I've made pretty little boxes out of some of them. The idea of using them to make gift tags is also a good one.

The first time I saw them made into boxes was at a museum where I volunteered to "man" the cookie and hot cider stand. The little Christmas tree adorning the table was festooned with a garland made from those little boxes made from cards! I asked around until I found the lady who made them and I got the instructions from her. And I've been making them ever since!

For whatever reason my DW thought of ...they go into a christmas bag and are put in the storage area with our tree and decorations. I come across them when diggin out the decorations and think to my self..what the heck.
