When you spend your last full day at a park, what is the last thing you do before leaving for the last time to go home?

We normally go to either the Magic Kingdom or Epcot for our last day before departure day.

At the Magic Kingdom, we always have one last Dole Float and sit on the walls next to the Partner's Statue watching the Castle and people.

In Epcot, we have a photo taken in front of Spaceship Earth as we leave with us both waving.

Usually we have breakfast at Crystal Palace and have a walk around the castle area to say good bye then. Usually we watch the wished fireworks on our last night.

Well up until our trip last year we always tried to catch spectromagic and wishes the night before we left.

Last year though we had MNSSHP and they no longer do spectromagic so it was completely different.

Have you not seen the Main Street Electrical Parade, I prefer it to Spectro, it is the original and to be the best

Yes, im not a fan. :shrug1:

I much prefer spectromagic, and wish it was still around. I saw it last year backstage and it was sad and dusty :(

I don't think it'll be back anytime soon.

I think the reason I like it is because it's the first nighttime show I saw, along with wishes. I will be sad when wishes goes too!

Dont get me wrong it's very good and I can see why it has it's fans but the sentimental aspect for me wins.

Personally I'd love to see a brand new nighttime show, but that's another subject

We don't have any rituals. We just pack up our stuff and leave the resort usually. Always a bit of a depressing day even when you are as close to WDW as are we. Still hard to step back into reality.

I really like the "every time we leave" photo idea though. How neat to have the same photo through the years. I wish we'd thought of something like that all those years ago when we started going.

We want to win the lottery so that we can retire, buy a home at Golden Oaks and never have to say goodbye.

YES, Oreo, YES, someone on my side! lol Everyone loves the MSE parade, but my heart will always be with SpectroMagic. It was my first nighttime parade, and the one I saw the most of any other singular parade (we loved it; we stayed at the Contemporary normally and even when we would spend the day at other parks, we would often find ourselves back at MK for the Spectro parade at night.) I just think the music is better, the characters involved are better, it seems longer... *sigh* I miss it so much. Thinking that I may never see it again honestly breaks my heart.

We really don't have any rituals before leaving besides being diagnosed with clinical depression:lol:

We usually fly out on a later flight so we get to spend part of our last day in one of the parks or hitting one of the resorts. I get kind of wistful when it is time to go.

Well feeling a bit wistful now....have to go to my Disney Visa card to see how much Disney Dollars we have earned!

Me too! I love Disney parade music anyway, but nothing compares to the music of Spectro. I hear it and I'm automatically transported away. It's a little bit of magic that I can feel every day if I want to. :)
