We've been going to Disney for a few years now and have spent time in and out of the parks. I was just wondering what other fun things are there to do at WDW other than the rides and usual things.

We've been on all the rides at the parks (that we want to  ) and taken a pontoon boat out from the Grand Floridian and Poly.

Neither of us are adventurous so para sailing is a definite no no

So, is there anything that you and your family really had a great time doing  Oh, and there is only the two of us :)

 we've never done it  see, I remember the days of when it was a windmill and tunnels  and being forced to play when I was a child.

It is a thought though and one we have been thinking about.

The movies on the beach are pretty cool. I've not sat down to watch but I've seen them plenty of times.

I was also thinking the spa too. It would be a nice way to finish a vacation where one usually doesn't sit and relax all day.

You know, I just thought of something we did that we really enjoyed!

My DW has a bit of a hard time walking these days so, on our last trip, we just took a couple of good books and spent our days lounging around the pool at Port Orleans Riverside. Nothing but a cool beverage, a lounge chair by the pool in the shade, and a good book.

Was really a rather delightful change from the usual hustle and bustle that is Disney World!

Tom :)macwave:... laid back is good!)

Thank you there are some really good suggestions, I especially like the spa idea, but I have a feeling I would be doing that on my own :rolleyes008:

As far as spa treatments go I thoroughly enjoy a good massage. I will also get the occasional manicure & pedicure. All three of these are very relaxing and why should it just be women that get pampered?

    (still have my man card)

Chip and Dales Campfire thingy at Fort Wildnerness! It is good fun and not just for kids - you can buy marshmallows to toast on the open fires and there is an entertainer and chip and dale visit and then there is a movie on the big screen after!

    It's free too! :D

A couple years ago my wife, son and I all went para-sailing behind the Contemporary. It was super fun. I could see the Castle and Space Mountain from a different point of view. My wife and I also did the couples massage at the spa located in the Grand Floridian.

Have done this as well and was top notch. Plus anytime you have a spa treatment you get to use the facilities for the whole day.

I would highly recommend the segway tour at epcot, they are brilliant fun and you get to see the world showcase when no one is there. Also the steam trains tour is wonderful behind the scenes look at the trains and monorail trains. Again you get to see magic kingdom EMPTY first thing in the morning.

At Downtown Disney opposite the World of Disney there is one of those posh coffee kiosks. Get a frozen cappucino, sit on a bench and watch the world go by.

Then go to the Lego store and play with the lego.:wiggle:
