we normally stay off site and have been going to dinner offsite but this time wed like to try being at Disney more in the evening times. What do you do there? the parks don't seem open that late whenw e're there but it would be good to see some of the evening parades I guess
There are loads of things to do in the evening at WDW. There is a lovely firework display each night at Epcot [Illuminations] and you could also view Fantasmic at DHS. A visit to Disney`s Boardwalk is also on our list as it comes alive in the evening with street entertainers etc.. Then there is always DTD where the shops stay open until late or it`s nice just to walk around to get a Disney "fix". The resorts. especially those on the monorail loop near to MK are also well worth a visit.
As a solo visiter I try to find things to do at Disney like Epcot for the illuminations,Jelly rolls, boardwalk, downtown Disney ,Bob at P O R ,fireworks at Polynesian beach and my A D R s for after 8 pm
Some of the resorts have neat little things to do in the evening, too. Piano Bob is one such favorite over at Riverside. Is that the name of the place? Sheesh. I sincerely cannot remember the proper name for that place since they changed it from Dixie Landings.
We basically do a rotation of the main evening shows, so Illuminations, Fantasmic and Wishes. As we go late Sept we also do MNSSH party on one of the evenings. We also do DTD the very first evening we land just to say hello and acclimatise ourselves again. Before the big rush the following morning to one of the water parks.
Well take advantage of extra magic hours! Then we go back and enjoy lounging around our resort's lobby and grounds, get a nightcap and talk about the magic we shared during the day.
