Question What type of hire car?

    We've always used Alamo and always found them to be excellent. We've also always been upgraded at no extra cost ;)

    likewise :( years ago every car we had from them had 3000 or less, last three times they've all had over 30k and ALL the cars were the same, we went down the row trying them

    We also used to rent from Dollar [via CarHire3000], but this time we used Alamo and we were very impressed with how much newer the cars seemed to be.
    My only gripe....no Dodge Charger [but the Chevy was ok.]

    There were 3 chargers when we went back at about 11am so I'm guessing they get chosen earlier in the day and us Brits end up with what's left.

    How big is a standard suv like a grand Cherokee? are they hard to get in and out of?

    How about comfort? nicer than a full size normal car?

    I own a Grand Cherokee and I feel quite comfortable. That's saying alot for someone who is 6' 3" and is, let's say, big boned. haha Not hard to get in or out by no means. Compared to a full size car, I'd say driving it is not much different.
