Don't have much spare time because of this site but....I used to love to draw (especially portraits) with pastels and I design wedding stationery too. I also like to make my own patterns from photos (usually animals) and cross stitch them.

Isafari! I would llove to see some of your work!

I create things from yarn. :D Sometimes I crochet, sometimes I knit (still learning). I do calligraphy. I sew.

I don't have much time for any of that anymore, but I do try to work in special projects.

    I love cooking too, but can't do much of that right now. :sigh;

Is reading a hobby? I guess it is for me. I love reading and wish I had more time to do it.

I enjoy photography and in the last couple of years I've added scrapbooking to that hobby.

Don't actually have much here right now apart from what's hanging on the walls right now.....people take them!
Will show you some of those if you like.....but I'm not a professional in any sense of the word....just nice to have your own handicrafts hanging on your walls

Tink, what you do is fantastic, so much work and love goes into it, it really is beautiful :hug2: :hug2:

I'd also like to see some of your work please Diane :)

My hobby is reading, I find it so relaxing. I used to make cakes and I loved doing it, but I only do it for the little ones now.

Ok.....I am not very good but....it's the satisfaction of having your own crafts/art work on the walls that does it for me!

This is DH's gran with a portrait I did of her late husband and next to her is herself and her husband. These are done with pencil. I appologise for the quality of these photos.

    [IMG][/IMG]

These are my two dogs sam and Shep done in charcoal and pastel...

    [IMG][/IMG]

Sam and Shep again, this time in watercolours...

    [/IMG]

A tiger photo I converted into cross stitch.....

    [IMG][/IMG]

Polar bear photo I converted into cross stitch....

    [IMG][/IMG]

This couple are pals which I converted a photo into cross stich (took ages to stitch!!)....

    [IMG][/IMG]

This is Sam again.....this time in cross stitch

    [IMG][/IMG]

Everything on my walls are my own artwork, cross stitch or photos myself or DH has taken

Oh, that one of your DH's grandmother is fantastic, just look at that smile on her face. She's so happy with it.

Eeeekk cross stitch, I enjoy doing it, but I don't seem to have the patience. I do it for what seems like years and then I look down and notice I have a 1 inch by 1 inch square.

Good job on yours though! I asked my aunt to do 2 dragons for me (for my medieval room) and she's so upset that she agreed. They're huge.

Thanks guys.....I don't care that I'm not too good.....just that they're mine

Keith.....they've been and gone and gone again to the kids.
The ones I posted are just the ones I have left....apart from the ones I'm working on at the moment which is a male lions head in cross stitch and a water colour woodland scene.

I would love to be able to draw well.....it is so frustrating at times  I didn't pick up a pencil or paintbrush from leaving school at 15 until I was in my thirties.....should have stuck with it.

I'm another one to add to the crafting bunch. I have a small business I run with my Mom and we do local craft shows during the summer and fall. It keeps me out of trouble and gave me something to do during the bed rest/new baby period last year :p015: I do just about everything that catches my eye..wait..that didn't sound right

ok let me try again..I like to do plastic canvas, but I will try lots of different crafts! Ha..better that time.
