Are there any must do restaurants at Universal resort? In the parks, hotels or Citywalk?

    Which would you recommend?

I second Mythos, it was a very pleasant surprise when we went. I also like Margaritaville and Mamma Della's at the Portofino (I think that's what it's called) they had an accordion player and singer going around serenading people when we were there.

    Thank you!!

We are planning on going in December, and might spend a few night at Universal, so Im starting to research.

How far in advance do you think we can book? Is it anything as crazy as Disney dining?

There's quite a few in CityWalk.

I love Bubba Gumps, im not a fan of fancy seafood like prawns or lobster etc, But I definitely would recommend the Fish and Chips.
    NBA City is another favourite.
I also rate the Hard Rock Cafe, and is where we had our wedding reception.

There used to be a pasta place there, can't think of the name and im not seeing it on the citywalk website. If that's still there, the italian cuisine is tasty too.

    Great atmosphere in both
NASCAR we booked online before leaving uk hard rock we tried book at the guest services as you enter and they couldn't make a reservation but they give you a card for a discount this was in 2012 so don't know if it's different
