We're staying at pop century but will get bored of the food court quickly.

Where are some good places either on site or just off site to get breakfast? We're looking for loads of choice not too expensive though.

Offsite will give you the most cost effective options.

If you like breakfast buffets I'd say that Golden Corral (at Vineland, just near Bahama Breeze) will give you the most choice for your money. Be sure to not go to just any Golden Corral though as some are quite off. The one nearest DTD is good, and is the one you should stick with if you are going to try one.

We like Bob Evan's too. That's a bit west (but not far) on 192. We particularly like to go there for biscuits, sausage gravy and eggs. (Biscuits in the American sense now, mind)! ;) :D

Other folks like Perkins and Denny's. However, I must say this. I will not step foot in Denny's. They are well known for their discriminatory practices against minorities, and have been sued more than once for their ill treatment of people. I'll go hungry first, thanks.

If you want to have choices onsite that are not too expensive there are little bakeries throughout WDW that offer nice choices for breakfast. For example, the boardwalk bakery has traditional breakfast pastries, but also nice breakfast sandwiches.

You'll find other choices like that at the Main St. Bakery (in MK) and in the World Showcase too.

Sizzler and Ponderosa have really fallen off. :( There have been several bad Health Department reports for those chains so I honestly have to say at this time, I'd avoid them. :sorry:

Sometimes they'll come around and clean up their act, but oftentimes they just do a surface compliance and the real problems are left untouched.

In this day and age, I'm pretty darn fussy about buffets and restaurants in general. :sigh:

We went to Bob Evans a few times last year and thought it was great for a cheap breakfast. (Had dinner in there as well one night)

My kids loved the pancakes there and even now ask if they can go to Bob Evans for breakfast!!

We were staying at the All-Stars and it is only really just round the corner from there.

I'll second (or third) Bob Evans.

Whenever my DW and I go to Florida, we've got to stop at Bob Evans at least a couple of times. It's now a tradition!

Theres a newish Golden Corral on the 192 just opposite the Celebration turn off ( Marker 8 I think) that 's nice and there's another just by Marker 5 which is a bit bigger

( Just in case you don't know - there are Markers along the 192 every few miles, check them out as it will help you with finding things) They look just like a road sign on pole - I think they're purple or could be turquoise - my memory isn't what it was

It's the only one I know of, pretty much the first place you come to on the 192 westbound after turning off of World Drive

Another Bob Evans vote here! Really don't like the offsite buffets but Bob Evan was a gem - we ate breakfast quite a few times last year and it was always very clean and the staff were great!

Yes, Bob Evans does have a very good reputation for service, cleanliness and food. There is a sister restaurant, MiMi's that is owned by the same corporation. There is one near Millenia Mall and Winter Garden Village. They serve breakfast too. A bit more upscale but honestly, not by much. Bob Evans is a little more like a diner and MiMi's a bit more like a restaurant.

First Watch is another good place for breakfast. They have a huge selection and some of them are even healthy! :D They do lunch too.

Bob Evans is quite good. You can get breakfast all day and they have a tasty lunch/dinner menu as well. Also very easy on the wallet.

Another favorite breakfast place for me is Cracker Barrel.

I like eating at the parks for breakfast. Most people eat before they get there so the lines for food are very short. I like just rolling out of bed, hopping on the bus, and being at the front of the park for opening ceremonies. Then I can eat. Maybe if the kids are hungry early, you can keep a box of Cheerios in the room to snack on. I heard that the princess breakfast at Norway in Epcot was good, too.

    Off site-
Bob Evans is one of my faves. Cracker Barrels are good, too.
I do not like buffets so would not suggest Golden Corral.
There's a place called the Waffle Shop on Conroy Rd. that's fab. (It's quite a ways from the parks, though).
DO NOT eat at any Waffle Houses.
McDonald's is always an economical option.
Subway sandwich shop has started offering breakfast sandwiches that are good.

What is wrong with Waffle House? It's cheap, it's clean and you see EVERYTHING they do in the kitchen. Trust me on this, this is a good thing.
