I've been to a few character meals and I was wondering what character meals you have been to and if I've been missing anything

Is there one that you would only go to for breakfast or just for dinner. What do you like about it and why.

I think my favourite is probably Cinderella's Happily After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare for dinner, breakfast would probably be Chef Mickeys :D

Jon and I have voted Crystal Palace, for the characters, the food and the location and it's the first one we ever did

We absolutely love Garden Grill. Masses of character interaction and they're really playful too. Also, because of the way the place is set out, you don't have masses of other tables near you, wondering when they'll be visited. Always enjoyed the food too.
    Tusker House is also fantastic!

What a great point, Vikki. I recall back when they had the Ice Cream Social at GG, we always got the best photos because of just that - there was never anyone "photo bombing" us! Have to be honest and say since the ICS ended we haven't been back - perhaps it's time!

Whew. Tough call, but I'm going with Cape May's Breakfast. The characters come around more than once, and truly take their time with everyone. They pose, and act silly and try to eat your breakfast. :D

The food there is very nice too.

The one we like the least was Donald's Breakfastosaurus in the AK. Is that one even going on anymore?

For us it has to be 1900 Park Fayre. I was slightly annoyed at the number of breakfast items that seem to have disappeared as it used to be fantastic but still, the quality has always been good. We have done most of the rest but PF stands out for us as we aren't keen on princesses and the characters are more adult and a little bit naughty. The only one I would never do again is Akershus. I LOVED that restaurant when it was just that and the food was great. Now however it is a total madhouse and of course there are princesses. :(

I miss the ice cream social! Such a lovely inexpensive way to get out of the heat and have character interaction!

We had a wonderful time at Garden Grill on Thanksgiving Day

The character breakfast at Cape May is my favorite character meal. It's very laid back and lots of character interaction.

When we were there last, I recall seeing Goofy, Donald and Minnie. They are dressed in beach gear :)

Im no fun, totally predictable, but have to go with Cinderella's Royal Table.

Not because of the food or the characters, but because it is a whole experience!

The going into the castle, greeting Cinderella, seeing Gus and Jacques peeling from above, the view of Fantasyland from the windows, the way each princess is introduced, the wishing wands and stars... I could go on and on!

I always prefer breakfast because I like breakfast food more than dinner food! I have enjoyed all our character meals, think I have done most of them and I really loved Liberty Tree Tavern back in the day but now I will say CP breakfast, a lot of that has to do with the fact that it is our first morning, the whole holiday is in front of us, and I am not fed up with lots of food yet! We always have first seating so I find the interaction more organised and I love the puffed French toast and the omelette station!

Having been to character meals at Garden Grill, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, Ohanas Breakfast (before Lilo and Stitch) and Cape May, I would say that as others have mentioned, GG is a great place to take one in. The setting is more intimate, you have the character's attention solely, and the food is pretty darn tasty! Chef Mickey's was pretty good as well. We did love 1900 Park Fare, but that was before it became a character meal, and it was one of our favorite places to eat.

We did garden grill and the disney junior breakfast at Hollywood studios. I much preferred the garden grill. The buffet style character meals you kinda end up wasting time getting your food.
Will definitely try and get more character meals next time :)

See now Tusker House (Donald breakfast in AK) is a favorite of ours!! We couldn't take a trip without it.

We are kind of over Crystal Palace at the moment, but you can't beat Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare.

Yeah, us as well. The last two times we've been there we've found the food mediocre, the service bordering on poor, and the interaction with the characters rushed.

We'll go back if we're with friends who'd like to see pooh and friends, but we won't be rushing back for a while of our own accord...
