Is blizzard beach better than typhoon lagoon? are they both open at the same time so we can choose?

So many things to plan I thought 16nights would be enough but it doesnt look like it

They are quite different experiences I think - both have their pluses and minus' the wave pool in Typhoon is awesome and they have the watercoaster there now as well. We have alwas prefered the themeing and slides at Blizzard beach

Both water parks usually are open during the warmer months. But they alternate closing for serious refurbishment in the winter--usually somewhere in the November - February time frame. One is closed and rehabbed, then the other closes as the first reopens. It's usually around 4 to 6 weeks for each water park.

They're both excellent but Blizard Beach has more teenager/adult orientated rides and Typhoon Lagoon more family ones.

And don't dismiss Wet'n'Wild . . it may be a concrete jungle with no themeing, BUT it still has some awesome flumes

I do, too. It's the only water park I've ever gone to!

I love them all, but the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon is something else. Love it.
