ok so I DID try longhorn for lunch and I kinda liked the quirky but didn't think the food was FANTASTIC... but it wasnt bad, definitely worth giving it another shot.

So many people seem to like it, I wonder if I didn't go to the best location.

so in orlando, what's the best longhorn to try?

argh that's quite a way though... although sure if we mix it with a trip to the village. Always end up getting lost around there

We went to one on the way back from gatorland last time which like I say was *ok* but not stellar

Is there more of an atmosphere in the evening? I guess there would be

We've been to several, and Wendy is right. The consistently best is at Winter Garden Village. It's across the street from the shopping area. It is very busy in the evening. The newish one on 192 west is ok for lunch, but as with so many Disney area restaurants, it falls prey to the, "we don't care if you return." Plus, the prices at Winter GArden are a bit cheaper.

You could try the one on the 192 close to Super Target and the Olive Garden (that's in there as well  ) we've had good and bad meals. When it first opened it was really very good, but sadly it has gone the way of most tourist area chins  we also fing that because there is the two of us they want to sit us in the bar area and Chris always refuses so that puts their nose out of joint straight away

Terry really likes it up there.

If you used the sat nav then it probably was. It is pot luck though, if yu want it to be good with a nice atmosphere and extra friendly staff then definitely go to Winter Garden

Yep, that`s the one we have used.
I can`t say that it is my favourite place to have dinner, but it`s fairly average and we have always had good service there.
We tend to sit outside [weather permitting], until the pager that we are given lets us know that our table is ready rather than using the bar area.

There is also an Olive Garden nearby and a Carrabas a few hundred yards away on US 192 Eastbound, both of which are ok.

We also had dinner one evening with Ricardo at a newly opened Bonefish on the westbound side of the 192 before you get to the Target lights, and this was good also.
