Which universal hotel for a couple of nights?

    So we've never stayed at universal but for our november trip, harry potter should be complete (we've not yet seen any of it!) so we're thinking of staying a couple of nights at a universal hotel. In theory, so we've been told, we'd be able to get into harry potter ahead of the general public if we stay onsite?

    So, which is a nice hotel to stay at?

    I absolutely love Royal Pacific. We've stayed there several times. I've stayed at Portifino once

    I'll be at a the royal pacific in October and November this year. We stay here every time we come to Florida.

    I can see you at the Portofino, it's beautiful but I really like the RPR too and I know how you like a luau. Also tchoup tchoup (sp?) is there :)

    ok so lots of love for the Royal Pacific which is good.

    So if I stayed there monday and tuesday night, I'd checkin mon afternoon, I could do the citywalk stuff monday evening and then tuesday have some kind of front of line thing for the harry potter stuff?

    you could check in as early as 7am on the Monday (room probably won't be ready)and have FOTL access until the end of Wednesday if you wanted to.

    ooo ok that's interesting! Really I just want to do the Harry Potter stuff without it being completely crammed. We won't do the main ride thing anyway

    but there's the luau at that hotel and citywalk so it could be a fun couple of days

    We will be staying at the Hard Rock in December. Havent visited but read its thr closest to both parks and the Hard Rock Cafe has pretty decent food

    You still get early entry though. It is about $100 a night cheaper than RPR.
