So we've never stayed at universal but for our november trip, harry potter should be complete (we've not yet seen any of it!) so we're thinking of staying a couple of nights at a universal hotel. In theory, so we've been told, we'd be able to get into harry potter ahead of the general public if we stay onsite?

So, which is a nice hotel to stay at?

I absolutely love Royal Pacific. We've stayed there several times. I've stayed at Portifino once

ooo ok that's interesting! Really I just want to do the Harry Potter stuff without it being completely crammed. We won't do the main ride thing anyway

but there's the luau at that hotel and citywalk so it could be a fun couple of days

You still get early entry though. It is about $100 a night cheaper than RPR.
