    Yes, they do look good, but a Whoopie pie is not a black and white :p

    A black and white is also known as a half moon and comes from a town about 20 minutes from where I live :D

    Half moon cookies are completely different from Whoopie Pies which are quite nasty in my opinion. ICK! :sorry: Cloyingly sweet.

    I only like half moons if they are with the chocolate cookie, not the vanilla cookie. :nono:

    I think Whoopie Pies were started/created in Maine? Have to check that one...

    Pasticiottis, known locally as puhsties (that's the local pronounciation) are another Utica specialty.

    Remember when the Florentine used to be the BEST!!! Sad little shop now, but they still make wicked pasticiottis and rum cakes! :yes: :D

    You may definitely keep the Moon Pie, tastes like sweet cardboard!! Black and Whites are the best with chocolate cookies ( nice soft ones ) Wish I had one now!:yes:

    Are you refering to the snow perhaps!! We used to stop in Utica when I was small on the way to Scranton and used to eat at the same restaurant each time. Something Farm! , the name escapes me! Will have to ask Mom if she remembers.:yes:

    I don't know how I missed this thread before this, but whoopie pies are delightful. I have a girlfriend who says whoopie pies are the most fun a person can have with clothes on. But now, uscwest has me hungry for a moon pie, as well!
