    Hello all,

We are thinking of doing a tour of some kind and we have short listed to either Wild Africa Trek or Wanyama Safari.

I am wondering if anyone here went to either of the tour mentioned above and what was it like?

I have done Wild Africa and it was incredible! I've no idea what the other one is, but can answer any questions you may have on the Wild Africa one.

I know Wild Africa gets superb reviews... although that bridge still scares me :/ I think you can miss that bit though?

You don't have to do the bridge. I am petrified of heights but felt I just had to do it. I'm so pleased I did though. It is spectacular and they take loads of great photos of you going across it too ☺

What happens if you don't want to? Is there a way to go round or something?

yes, definately a catapult. They asked at the beginning if there was anyone who didn't want to do it, we all did, but when I asked, they said there was another way round. Essentially, the bridge is 3 sides of a square, so I'd imagine there was another route along that other side. There's an extra couple of Cms who turn up when it's time to do the bridge, in case anyone chickens out and has to not do it.

I'm not absolutely certain but I think you have to be staying Concierge at AKL to do Wanyama.

I've done the Wild Africa Trek in and ECV...they had a CM especially for me that took me through the Pangani Trail personally. We re-joined the larger group for the truck ride Safari. Was really wonderful. My son and niece went on the bridges. It was a really amazing experience.

We are booked to do the Sunrise Safari in December. :) That one does still require staying at AKL at the Club Level.

No...when you are on an ECV, you can't do the bridge/walking part..the Pangani Trail is in lieu of that section of the tour. Was just letting everyone know that there is an alternative if necessary and it's still very worth the price. :)
