A few notes of our day...hopefully I will add some photos once we are back home.

We have a Groupon voucher for World of Citrus today. I was in two minds about going here as I had read some poor reports about the staff here but we found everyone really friendly and inviting.

We were booked in for the 10am monster truck Eco tour. We arrive at 9.45am and hand over our voucher in the shop. The offer we got from Groupon was buy one get one free...then the girl behind the counter hands us a voucher for ten dollars to spend on anything we like in the shop making the morning a very expensive five dollars for the two of us.

We have a wander over to the monster truck and take a few photos. The tour is given by the grandson of the owner today and he was unbelievably knowledgeable about the citrus and other fruits grown on the farm. The peak time for the fruits in actually December.

We drive past the groves etc and through swamps...which were full of cows cooling off from the heat. The cows are so curious when the truck overheats and breaks down in the middle of a swamp and actually come over to have a look at us. After ten minutes, the engine is cool enough to get out of the water and we are on our way again. Barcode (a zebra) also comes over to the truck a little later in the tour and we get the chance to feed him and a few other critters.

The tour lasts nearly two hours after which we have a little wander by the fishing lake and look around the shop, spending our voucher on marmalade for our breakfasts. I also had a voucher which I printed at home for a buy one get one free orange slush which we used.

Next we head over to the 192 and have a wander through one of the largest flee markets and have lunch at Panera Bread.

Today continues to be a lazy non park day and we head over to Downtown Disney. We watch Transformers at the cinema as hubby really wants to see this movie......it was teribble and he even dropped off a couple of times.

We are looking for a picture for our lounge back home as we have just gutted the room and have everything just as we want it apart from a couple of canvases for the walls which we want to remind us of Florida. We look through the shops and find nothing that catches our eye...not even at Art of Disney. Looks like we will have to rely on photos we will take. I do have a certain scene in mind so fingers crossed it comes off.

DTD is a bit of a mess at the moment and we seemed to spend a lot of our time wandering through green boards which are hiding all of the building work going on. We buy nothing at all and don't even feel very hungry. We head back as hubby is up at 5am tomorrow to go fishing for the day. As we are passing McDonalds we feel like something small to eat so have the chile chicken wrap which fills us nicely.

Next day...today....I am at the villa alone as hubby has gone fishing. I did get a quote for a car to take me to and from MK for the day but it was over one hundred and sixty dollars so I passed. I didn't get our of bed until 8.30am and I did the little bit of washing and ironing we had followed by some time floating in the pool until I saw two spiders on the tiles about an inch above the water level....so I am now inside eating ice cream and typing this.

We are going to Tony Romas for dinner when hubby gets back

I'd be interested to follow your quest for art - I know exactly what you mean when you say you have a feeling in mind.

Tony Romas is delicious for ribs. Dave usually has a rib/steak combo. Their baked potato soup is very good too.

Well, I don't want Mickey Mouse on my lounge wall. If I don't spot anything (I have a colour scheme too) I am going to try and take specific shots at MK and turn them into sepia for canvases.

I was thinking about doing the same but with a pencil drawing. Many, many moons ago, I was pretty good at it. It'd be nice to draw something I'm actually passionate about.

...On the other hand, I'm far lazier and less patient now, so I may end up just applying a pencil-y filter in Photoshop!

    I don't have any anymore, Wendy :(

My last one I threw in the bin because it was done under the duress of my overbearing art teacher, and I very dramatically told her that it can't be art if it was forced.

...I lived to regret it though, because after all these years, the lasting memory is not that I threw it away; it's that when I saw it while I was flicking through my portfolio, I wondered who left a photograph in there. Yes, I'm an idiot. :embarassed:

:hug2: we all have regrets Tony, I've had things I've thrown away and then wished I hadn't done it.
